Assembly Technician (Soldering Specialist) - Concord, NH

About the Role

Are you a precision-driven professional with a passion for high-quality electronic assembly? We are looking for a skilled Assembly Technician to join our production team in Concord, NH. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering a clear path to a long-term career with our company for the right candidate.

While this role involves assembly and some inspection, we are specifically looking for a "soldering pro"-someone who takes pride in their benchwork and has a steady hand for intricate surface mount assemblies. Because we value craftsmanship, a hands-on soldering test is a key part of our interview process.

Compensation & Location

• Pay Rate: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
• Location: Concord, NH
• Status: Temp-to-Perm (A great way to get your foot in the door and prove your skills!)

What You'll Do

• Precision Assembly: Build, test, and refine electronic subassemblies and systems by following production drawings, work orders, and sample assemblies.
• Soldering & Rework: Perform high-level soldering and rework on surface mount (SMT) components, ensuring every joint meets IPC-610 workmanship standards.
• Technical Processes: Execute intermediate tasks including potting, encapsulating, epoxy bonding, and color-coding to ensure product durability.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct real-time "go/no-go" testing and inspections using microscopes and electronic test equipment to ensure every unit is built to print.
• Tool Mastery: Utilize a variety of specialized equipment, from soldering irons and hot plates to glue dispensing systems and water test tanks.

What You Bring

• Technical Expertise: 1-2 years of experience in electronic assembly and inspection is preferred.
• Soldering Skills: Strong familiarity with SMT components and the ability to pass a practical soldering test.
• Attention to Detail: A commitment to IPC-610 standards and the ability to comprehend complex written and oral instructions.
• Bonus Points: Familiarity with tuning electronic components is a huge plus!

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Ability to work with hand tools, microscopes, and precision measuring instruments.
• A collaborative mindset and a drive to produce high-quality work.
