Requirements and Responsibilities:

Must be able to set up and operate equipment, have a good working knowledge, with recent experience in metal fabrication.

Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

• CNC Press Brake - ability to set up and operate CNC Press Brakes, including programming, recalling programs, unloading/loading tools, processing first piece for inspection buy off and running production.
• CNC Laser - ability to load programs, replace nozzles, lenses and make minor machine adjustments.
• Loading material, unloading laser-cut parts, deburring, and stacking.
• CNC Turret Punch - ability to set up the machine, including loading, sharpening, and maintenance of tooling.
• Loading material, unloading of punched/laser cut parts, deburring, and stacking.
• Detect machine problems, out-of-tolerance parts and make adjusts to the machine or program to make corrections.
• Measure and inspect parts after cutting, punching or forming to insure manufacturing to specification.
• Ability to lift parts up to 50 pounds and stand for an entire shift.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED with 3 - 5 years of fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.

Skills

Ability to use a calculator to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Basic skills required as needed to read tape measures, calipers, micrometers and height gauges.

Language and Communication

Must speak, read, write and comprehend written instructions, blueprints, correspondence and memos in English. Must possess the ability to apply common sense and an understanding of the task at hand with a willingness to react and respond positively.
