Join our team:

We are seeking an energetic individual who can multitask and is looking to learn and grow with us. We offer on-the-job training and opportunities for advancement for the right candidate. Ideally you are mechanically inclined with an interest in equipment operation and repair. You may be working as part of a team, or with little-to-no supervision. The overnight Machine Operator will be operating Extrusion machines to produce thermoplastic hose. This is an on-site role with a full-time schedule for the overnight shift Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-5:00am

What you will do:

Set up, start, operate, monitor, and shut down multiple braiding/winding machines

Perform and record quality checks and calibrate machinery as needed

Operates a forklift to obtain and/or store production materials

Read and interpret work orders and production running sheets

Perform basic machinery and equipment troubleshooting and minor repairs, escalating as appropriate

Maintain organization and stock management

Follow all safety requirements, wear PPE, inspection, and safe lifting procedures

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Ability and interest in learning how to operate and maintain machinery, prior experience not required

Ability to concentrate while multitasking and performing repetitive tasks

Ability to prioritize and plan work activities and develop realistic action plans

Ability to problem solve and resolve issues in a timely manner, utilizing common sense and situational understanding to resolve

Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations

Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations

Capable of adapting to changes in the work environment with competing demands and unexpected task assignments.

Use of conventional and precision measuring instruments

Mathematical skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Ability to read, write, and speak English

At least 2 years previous experience in a warehouse environment

At least 2 years previous experience in machine operation

High school diploma, or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to reach 5-5.5 feet in height and move spools that may weigh up to 10-15 pounds.

Ability to lift/move up to 65 pounds

Frequent standing, bending, lifting, moving, reaching

Ability to work in a warehouse environment with changes in temperature, heat, noise, and metal materials
