Overview:
Responsible for finding and attracting skilled trades talent (electricians, welders, mechanics, HVAC, maintenance, machinists, etc.) and building strong candidate pipelines using Avature as the main ATS/CRM tool.
Note: the HM is looking for a candidate that has skilled trades experience and Avature tool.
Main Responsibilities What You'll Do
Sourcing & Pipelines
• Find candidates for skilled trades roles using Avature, job boards, social media, and trade specific sites.
• Build and maintain talent pools for key roles and locations.
• Research target companies, trade schools, unions, and local markets with strong skilled trades talent.
• Reach out to candidates through email, calls, SMS, and social media.
Candidate Screening & Hand Off
• Conduct initial phone/screens to confirm experience, certifications, pay range, shift, location, and work eligibility.
• Shortlist and share qualified candidates with recruiters and hiring managers.
• Keep candidates informed and ensure a positive early stage experience.
Avature ATS/CRM
• Use Avature daily to search, tag, and organize candidates.
• Create and run campaigns (emails/SMS) and manage talent communities.
• Keep data clean and updated and run basic reports on pipeline health and sourcing results.
Team Partnership
• Work with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements and must have skills.
• Share market insights on candidate availability, pay, and competitors.
• Suggest new channels (trade schools, veteran programs, job fairs) to improve results.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
• 7-15+ years in recruiting/sourcing, including at least 7 years focused on skilled trades roles.
• Proven success sourcing for roles like electricians, welders, mechanics, HVAC, or maintenance technicians.
Avature:
• 1+ year(s) of hands on Avature experience (ATS and/or CRM).
• Comfortable building talent pools, running searches, campaigns, and basic reports.
Skills:
• Strong sourcing skills (Boolean search, LinkedIn, job boards, social media).
• Organized, able to manage multiple roles/pipelines at once.
• Clear, professional communication with candidates and internal partners.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in recruiting and skilled trades hiring.
