Job Description:
A reputable construction company based in Sayreville, NJ is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role involves maintaining and repairing diesel-powered equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation across our job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and heavy construction equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative service
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Maintain accurate service records
- Ensure equipment meets safety and operational standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience (construction equipment preferred)
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus)
- Own tools preferred
