We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicle systems, ensuring that all work meets safety and quality standards.Candidates should be team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
Duties
- Perform diagnostic procedures on vehicle systems and determine appropriate maintenance and repairs.
- Execute repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including but not limited to engine repairs, brake services, and alignments.
- Performs preventative and predictive maintenance on fleet vehicles.
- Performs vehicle inspections.
- Completes daily maintenance and repairs.
- Maintains and secures work tools.
- Cleans and maintains garage work area.
- Keeps clean work area.
- Communicates with Service Writers and General Manager when diagnosing and completing repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed on vehicles for customer reference and warranty purposes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assists and serves as back up to other service team members.
- Other duties as requested or required by management.
Requirements
- Experience as an Automotive Mechanic in a dealership or similar environment is preferred. All levels of experience considered.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Auto and truck maintenance and repair experience. High mechanical aptitude. Basic reading, computer, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to automotive repair are a plus.
Requirements
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 50lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking. Must be able to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in mechanical trades. Must be able to handle hazardous materials safely and tolerate exposure to electrical hazards.
