Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Low Voltage Technician to provide quality installations and service for systems such as Security Alarms, Video Surveillance, Fire Alarms, Access Control, DataCom, and Home Automation. This position supports safe, reliable electrical and low-voltage systems for a variety of customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Install and service Video Surveillance Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Intrusion Alarm Systems, Audio and Visual Systems, Network Cabling, Wi-Fi Access Points, Access Control Systems, and Central Vacuum Systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues and provide effective repair solutions.
- Report to management daily with updates to systems and customer information.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems.
- Adhere to all quality and safety codes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with Security Alarm and Fire Alarm installation and service, including Access Control programming and configuration.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing technical and physical issues with electronic components and cabling.
- Comprehension of data networking is a must.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Must be able to work with a team, take instructions, and communicate effectively.
- Sales experience is not required; however, commissions are available for employee-generated leads that are contracted.
- Previous or current licensing through the NC Alarm Licensing Board preferred.
- Must have a driver's license and pass a background check.
