Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 am for training period approximately six (6) months.
After a training/break-in period, the candidate will become part of an on-call rotation Field Service Team. Teams would focus on the NYC area bridges and tunnels.
Pay Rate $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
Job Description
Drive Integration is currently seeking a highly-motivated Intelligent Transportation (ITS) Technician with 2 years of experience performing varying tasks related to communications or electrical equipment to work independently or with team on Installations, modifications, and repairs of traffic detection equipment and related ITS systems at various sites in the region by reading system schematics. Must have the ability to follow specifications to install, troubleshoot and implement system components; monitor and approve installations, including providing direction to contracted vendors; and provide additional support to facility personnel including computing equipment installation, relocation, troubleshooting and repair.
Job Duties:
Read System schematics and drawings, equipment manuals and design plans. Install, upgrade, modify, replace, and maintain equipment as directed or required. Performs a continuous preventative maintenance program according to schedule. Does reactive maintenance and repair as needed. Receives and checks in inventory. Monitors automatic trouble reporting system to ensure timely problem resolution in accordance with guidelines. Monitors repairs for timely completion and submits approval documents to appropriate purchasing personnel for payment. Response to and corrects trouble reports. Tests ITS systems through physical inspection and electronic test and measurement equipment procedures. Monitors, maintains and performs diagnosis of equipment problems with: lane control servers, PLC, computers, printers, traffic signals, gates, IR beams, light curtains, message signs, scanners, sensors, Cameras, vehicle loop detection equipment, automatic vehicle ID readers, antennas, RF sources, video cameras, switchers, multiplexers, media converters, monitors, frame grabbers and other industry related equipment.
Requirements
Associates Degree or other technical training in low voltage electrical or communications field OSHA 10 training (can be obtained upon employment) NFPA Basic training (can be obtained upon employment) Driver's License with valid proof of auto insurance Occasional requirements to work at heights and confined spaces while wearing an approved Safety Harness, on a structure, or a bucket truck. Occasional requirements to work during overnight Occasional requirements to work weekends and on call. Ability to pass background screening for Secure Worker Access Consortium (SWAC)
