Assembly Line Worker - Manufacturing
Location
Wheeling, IL ( 6 AM - 6 PM) OR (6 PM - 6:30 AM)
Position Summary
As an Assembly Line Worker, you will be part of our production team responsible for assembling, packaging, and inspecting products on a high-volume manufacturing line. You will work in a fast-paced environment, follow standard operating procedures, maintain quality and safety standards, and be part of a team striving for efficiency and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production line equipment and tools, following standard work instructions.
- Assemble components, sub-assemblies, or finished products according to specifications.
- Inspect and verify parts for proper fit, alignment, function, and quality.
- Package and label products, prepare them for shipping or storage.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation (including 5S practices).
- Report any equipment or quality issues immediately.
- Adhere to production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Follow all safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in training as required, cross-train on multiple stations.
- Assist in cleaning, line changeovers, and shutdowns as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience is a plus (but not always required).
- Ability to stand and walk for the full shift; frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching may be required.
- Able to lift up to 25-50 lbs (depending on specific station) and handle repetitive tasks.
- Basic math and reading skills to follow work instructions and measure parts.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, willingness to work shifts (including weekends or overtime if needed).
- Team-oriented, good communicator, safety-minded.

Work Environment & Conditions
- Manufacturing environment: may be noisy, with moving machinery, conveyors, equipment.
- May require standing for long periods, repetitive motion, lifting, and shifting of parts.
- Temperature and lighting conditions consistent with manufacturing floor (may vary slightly).
