About the Role:
The Flexographic Press Helper supports the Press Operator in daily production. This is a hands-on manufacturing role with strong growth potential. You will assist with press setup, material handling, roll changes, ink management, and quality control while learning the fundamentals of flexographic printing.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with press setup and job changeovers
- Load and unload large film rolls onto the press
- Stage rolls and materials for upcoming jobs
- Mount plates and sleeves
- Mix and maintain ink systems during production
- Clean ink pumps, chambers, anilox rolls, and press components
- Inspect printed material for defects and quality issues
- Maintain accurate production documentation
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Follow all plant safety procedures
Requirements:
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Manufacturing or printing experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work with heavy rolls (assistive equipment provided)
- Comfortable working around industrial machinery
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Willingness to learn and grow into a Press Operator role
- Able to stand for long periords of time
