The maintenance technician will work with the team to troubleshoot production issues, provide preventative maintenance to equipment and repairs as needed
.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment (Air Compressor, Rolling Stock, Production Machinery, HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
- Able to troubleshoot machinery/reading schematics.
- Perform timely repairs on hand tools as needed (e.g. drills, saws).
- Communicate needs with purchasing department proactively.
- Repair/rebuild welding leads.
- Use knowledge to perform maintenance during production when there is an issue as needed.
- Practice proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures if applicable.
- Fill Loctite cartridges for departments as needed.
- Store tools and materials in proper locations when not in use.
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Prior experience working preventative maintenance in a manufacturing facility.
- Electrical background helpful.
- Use various power and hand tools, experience required.
- Able to read and use a tape measure.
- Read and follow work instructions.
- Able to work 40 - 60 hours a week.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Good attendance is a must.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, and twisting.
- Must be able to move up to 75 pounds at times.
- Follow health and safety rules.
- Wear PPE as required.
