We are currently seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support our ongoing contract with the Hillsborough County School Board.
This is a full-time, year-round opportunity offering long-term stability, a supportive team environment, and the chance to work on meaningful public sector projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a variety of commercial HVAC systems
- Service rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, air handlers, heat pumps, and air-cooled chillers, DOAS
- Troubleshoot low-voltage and high-voltage electrical components
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and facility managers
- Maintain safe and clean job sites, especially on school grounds
- Document work thoroughly using a company-issued iPad and field service software
- Follow all company and school district safety procedures

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC experience
- EPA Universal Certification
- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must pass a Level II background check (required for school facility access)
- Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and diagnostic skills
- HouseCall Pro Software a Plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with school district or government facility contracts
- Hands-on experience with air-cooled chillers; RTU's
- Manufacturer/OEM training or certifications

Schedule
