Opportunity:
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Job Details:
13-week contract with options to extend
Schedule consists of (4) 10-hour shifts per week or (3) 12-13 hour shifts per week plus 1 rotating Saturday each month
Weekly availability required; preference given to candidates who do not rotate weeks on/weeks off
All time off requests must be submitted upfront and approved prior to acceptance; time off requests exceeding 5 consecutive days will not be approved during summer months
Patient population ranges from age 13 to end of life
Level 1 trauma center environment with a large anesthesia team including CRNAs, attending anesthesiologists, and anesthesia residents
Anesthesia team covers 33 main ORs, 16 offsite anesthesia locations, 12 outpatient surgery ORs, and 3-4 stand-alone GI center rooms
Practice settings include inpatient and outpatient; locations include main OR, outpatient surgery center, and endoscopy center
Cases excluded from scope include open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, and performing peripheral nerve blocks
EMR system: Epic
Hospital bed size: 600 beds
All CRNA scopes of practice required
Minimum 2 years of experience required; academic background and Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience preferred
Candidates with outpatient-only experience will be considered, but recent inpatient experience is preferred
Board certification required
Active Virginia state license required
ACLS and BLS certifications must be valid and completed through the AHA
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates will be considered
