Position Title: Press Brake Operator

Position Summary
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for fabricating HVAC components by operating machinery such as press brakes, coil lines, or punch presses to cut, form, and bend sheet metal. This role supports production efficiency while ensuring all components meet required quality standards.
The Press Brake Operator must accurately interpret technical drawings, set up machinery, and inspect finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operate press brakes, coil lines, punch presses, and other fabrication equipment to cut, form, and bend sheet metal components.
Study and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and component measurements to properly set up manual machine gauging.
Set up and adjust machinery according to job specifications and production requirements.
Efficiently produce the required quantity of parts to meet assembly and production schedules.
Inspect finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy using measuring tools such as:
Micrometers
Calipers
Gauges
Other precision measuring equipment
Identify poorly fabricated or non-conforming parts and report issues to supervision using proper quality control documentation.
Maintain consistent attention to detail while meeting production timelines and quality expectations.
Recognize machine malfunctions or operational issues and report them promptly to the Maintenance Department or appropriate supervisor.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and operational standards.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
Safety Responsibilities
Always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, safety shoes, and other required gear.
Follow all state and federal safety regulations.
Report unsafe conditions or hazards immediately.
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication specifications.
Basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
Experience operating press brakes or similar metal fabrication equipment preferred.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Ability to use precision measuring tools.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and sheet metal materials.
