Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager II to oversee daily operations, lead a dedicated branch team, and ensure the highest standards of financial accuracy and service. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the branch's performance, supervising staff development, maintaining cash controls, and fostering a professional, welcoming environment for our members. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Management
- Manage staff: Direct daily workflow, assign tasks, and maintain operational efficiency.
- Train employees: Ensures employees are well trained in all aspects of their respective jobs. Performs cross training and security training as necessary.
- Manage performance: Set clear objectives, conduct frequent coaching sessions, perform annual appraisals, and implement appropriate action plans.
- Administer time & attendance: Track attendance and approve overtime or leave on employee timecards.
- Lead communication: Host regular staff meetings to train, inform, and discuss process improvements.
Branch Operations & Compliance
- Enforce policies: Ensure strict adherence to BSA/AML regulations and credit union procedures.
- Secure facilities: Manage opening/closing hours, test security gear, and coordinate annual inspections.
- Administer budgets: Oversee expenses, implement cost-saving measures, and help prepare the annual branch budget.
- Coordinate facilities: Oversee grounds maintenance, safety practices, space requirements, and supply inventory.
- Support workflow: Step in to perform teller or member service duties whenever necessary to help support the team.
Cash Control & Financial Accuracy
- Balance daily: Ensure all branch transactions reconcile at the close of each business day.
- Audit vaults: Periodically verify cash held by tellers and main vault cash on the premises.
- Manage deposits: Control daily cash deposits in strict accordance with internal financial policies.
- Resolve errors: Assist tellers with complex balancing issues and hold staff accountable for cash handling.
Member Relations & Growth
- Resolve issues: Promptly handle member complaints and solve complex financial inquiries.
- Cross-sell services: Educate members on credit union products to meet their unique financial needs.
- Protect reputation: Maintain a highly professional branch image that aligns with our brand standards.
Job Qualifications Experience & Education
- Required Experience: 5 to 10 years of similar or related financial institution management experience.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Skills & Knowledge
- Financial Expertise: Deep knowledge of teller operations, lending policies, and credit union products.
- Compliance: Strong understanding of related financial legal and regulatory requirements.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional diplomacy, tact, and the ability to handle highly sensitive, personal information.
- Leadership: Proven ability to motivate, influence, and develop a diverse team.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient with standard office business equipment and specialized banking software applications.
- Organization: Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain an efficient workflow under pressure.
