Electrician Foreman
Job Description
This role oversees electrical work for residential and light commercial projects, including new construction, fit-outs, and service work. The Electrician Foreman reads and interprets blueprints, performs hands-on electrical installations and repairs, and provides day-to-day leadership to a small field team. The position combines technical expertise with the ability to work independently while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the work of electricians, mechanics, technicians, and apprentices on residential and commercial projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs.
- Perform electrical work on new construction, fit-out, and service projects in residential homes and light commercial buildings.
- Work independently to complete assigned tasks and provide on-site leadership and guidance to team members when needed.
- Install, repair, and replace electrical panels, lighting fixtures, switches, outlets, and related devices.
- Bend and install various types of conduit, including ROMEX, EMT, and rigid conduit, according to project requirements and codes.
- Run and pull wires for power, lighting, and control systems in new and existing construction environments.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with other trades and site personnel to coordinate work and maintain project schedules.
Essential Skills
- At least 4 years of hands-on electrical experience in residential and commercial environments.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and electrical plans.
- Proficiency in bending and installing ROMEX, EMT, and rigid conduit.
- Demonstrated experience running and pulling wires for various electrical systems.
- Skilled in installing, repairing, and replacing panels, lights, switches, outlets, and related electrical components.
- Solid understanding of basic wiring, electrical construction practices, and installation methods.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high quality standards.
- Capability to lead and guide a team on-site when required.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
