We are seeking an experienced Shop TIG Welder / Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of TIG welding and metal fabrication experience and be capable of producing high-quality weldments while maintaining productivity and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel materials.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders.
  • Measure, cut, fit, assemble, and fabricate metal components to specifications.
  • Set up and operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drill presses, and other shop tools.
  • Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain welding equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet production schedules.
  • Assist with shop organization, material handling, and general housekeeping.
  • Identify and troubleshoot fabrication and welding issues.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of TIG welding and fabrication experience required.
  • Strong experience welding stainless steel; aluminum experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.
  • Proficient with measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, and squares.
  • Experience with metal cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembly.
  • Ability to perform high-quality cosmetic and structural welds.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) are a plus.
  • Experience in modular construction, manufacturing, or industrial fabrication environments.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
