Coverage Needed:
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: Ongoing
- Schedule:
- Weekdays: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (onsite)
- On-Call Weekday Evenings: Monday - Friday, 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- On-Call Weekends: Saturday 7:00 AM - Monday 7:00 AM
Clinical Details:
- Practice Setting: Inpatient/Call
- Potential for some rounding responsibility
- Call Schedule: STEMI call aligned with unassigned call and noninvasive coverage
- Call Volume: not many STEMIs - 159 activations in 2025 with a 47% cancellation rate
- Providers will receive more phone calls while on-call more than call back as the emergent call backs (STEMIs) are a little less than every other day
- Average Number of Inpatient Admissions Per Physician Per Day: >2 daily
- Total Number of Beds: 250
- Number of ICU Beds: 30
- Other Interventional Cardiologists Present
- Patient Age Demographic: Adult, geriatric
- Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
- Procedures Required: Balloon Angioplasties, Coronary Angioplasty, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Heart Catheterization, Medical Management of Vascular Disease, Coronary Angiograms, Embolic Protection, Carotid Artery Stenting, Atherectomy
Requirements:
- Board Certified
- BLS/ACLS
- Active VA state license
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation
- Clean Malpractice
