Job Description

Job Description Job Description

Skilled trades are essential, and you know that. Because you've spent years building your expertise in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering, HVAC/R, industrial maintenance, facilities operations, or related fields, you understand the importance of learning from someone who has worked in the industry.

Our students deserve to learn from professionals who have "been there and done it," not just from textbooks. That's what we look for in our instructors.

Your primary role will be to facilitate student learning, helping students achieve their program and course objectives while preparing them for successful careers in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering and related industries. You will organize all aspects of the learning environment, including safety, classroom management, demonstrations, laboratory activities, and online instruction.

You will administer lessons following pre-developed lesson plans and guide students through both the practical and theoretical applications of Mechanical Maintenance Engineering concepts.

Role Responsibilities

We ask all instructors to motivate students by demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm, and sensitivity to student concerns. Instructors actively engage students through classroom discussions, laboratory activities, and online learning environments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver approved curriculum and course content for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineering program.
  • Facilitate both hands-on laboratory instruction and theory-based coursework.
  • Identify different student learning styles and adjust instructional methods accordingly.
  • Always create and maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance, grade, and progress records.
  • Utilize Canvas or other Learning Management Systems (LMS) to support student learning and engagement.
  • Respond to student communications in a timely manner.
  • Identify and assist struggling students and communicate concerns to appropriate leadership.
  • Manage classroom, laboratory, and instructional equipment.
  • Maintain classroom and laboratory organization, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Communicate, support, and enforce school policies and procedures.
  • Ensure ethical and fair testing practices.
