Essential Job Functions

  • Supervise, lead, and mentor a crew of tower technicians during daily operations
  • Plan and coordinate work activities, including climbing, rigging, antenna installation, line and antenna system (LAS) work, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, including fall protection, RF awareness, and OSHA regulations
  • Conduct job site safety briefings (JSA/JHA) and enforce safe work practices at all times
  • Review project scope, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project requirements are met
  • Monitor crew productivity and quality of work; address performance issues as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, timesheets, and material usage
  • Inspect and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles
  • Assist with hands-on tower work as needed, including climbing and rigging
  • Ensure proper installation, alignment, and testing of wireless equipment (antennas, radios, mounts, cabling, grounding systems)

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making ability in the field
  • Familiarity with PIM testing, fiber, and sweep testing equipment
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Ability to climb towers and structures up to 500+ feet
  • Lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Work at heights for extended periods
  • Perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in operating various hand tools
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, DOT, and background check
  • Available for work requiring travel

Preferred Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 5+ years of experience in wireless tower construction or maintenance
  • Proven experience leading or supervising field crews
  • Strong knowledge of tower rigging, antenna installation, and wireless infrastructure
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and RFDS (Radio Frequency Data Sheets)
  • OSHA 10/30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Competency in fall protection, rescue procedures, and tower safety standards
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel as required and work in various weather conditions
