Schedule
- 24-Hour Beeper Call Coverage (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM)
- Response Time: Within 20 Minutes
- Not Required to Remain On-Site While on Call
- Required to Round and Discharge Patients
Practice Details
- Average 2-5 calls per 24-hour period
- Typically 2-4 calls per night
- Average 1-2 on-site call-backs per night
- Approximately 1-5 inpatient encounters per shift
- Average on-site call-back hours: 2-4 hours per day
- New admission and inpatient rounding responsibilities
- Athena and Cerner EMR
Common Procedures
- Kidney stone management
- Stent placement and management
- Continuous bladder irrigation (CBI) consults
- Hematuria management
- Difficult catheter placements
- Inpatient urology consults and transfers
Requirements
- Board Certified Urologist
- Fellowship Training Preferred
- Ability to provide inpatient call coverage and rounding
- Comfortable with emergency urologic procedures and consults
