- On Call: Potentially one week and one weekend per month, phone calls only
Clinical Details
- Inpatient Responsibilities: Yes, very infrequent hospital consults
- Hospitalists admit all patients; physicians field phone calls from hospitalists
- Job Responsibilities: Consults, follow-up care, oversee administration of antineoplastics in the clinic
- Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 2
- Nursing Support Ratio: 2 nurses per provider, along with referral and triage nurses
- Ancillary Staff per Provider: Reception, lab, social worker, referrals, dietician
- Services Offered: Antineoplastics, phlebotomies, IV IgG, iron therapy, bone marrow biopsies
- Number of Exam Rooms: 4
- Medical Imaging, Lab & Pharmacy
- Clinic Provider Daily Volume: 16-20
- Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: 0-2
- Appointment Length: Adjustable, 15/20 minutes for follow-ups, 60 minutes for consults
- Patient Demographics: 18 years and older
- EMR: EPIC
- Teaching Opportunity
- Trauma Level: Level III
Requirements
- Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
- willing to review candidates Board Certified in Oncology with strong Hem/Onc experience
- Active IA License or Active IMLC LOQ in hand
- Fellowship Trained in Hematology & Oncology
- Full-time Availability (Monday to Thursday)
- Experience Highly Preferred, New Graduates Considered
- Clean Malpractice/Background
- Self-Query NPDB (Should be pulled within the month)
