ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Board-Certified Hematologist/Oncologist for locum tenens coverage due to the loss of a provider. This role primarily supports a free-standing cancer center with a mix of benign hematology and malignant oncology cases in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The position requires consistent monthly availability and a minimum six-month commitment.

Availability Requirement:
4 weeks of availability per month
4 days per week
Call:
No call required during locum assignment
If placed permanently: 1 week of call every 6 8 weeks
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days
Practice Setting:
Free-standing cancer center
Outpatient and inpatient oncology coverage
Patient Population:
Adult and geriatric
Practice Composition:
65% benign hematology
35% malignant oncology
0% internal medicine
7 physicians in practice
6 APPs providing support
Patient Volume:
Outpatient: 25 patients per day
Inpatient (rounding/call): 20 patients per day
Clinical Responsibilities:
Participation in Tumor Board
Management of Bone Marrow Transplants
Blood bank coordination
Ordering diagnostic tests and imaging
Prescribing medications
Chemotherapy administration (performed by Nurse Oncologist)
EMR System: EPIC
Required Skills & QualificationsBoard Certified in Hematology & Oncology Required
Active South Carolina Medical License Required
BLS Certification Required
DEA Registration Required
Clean Background (required for emergency temps) Required
Self-Query NPDB Report (dated within 30 days of presentation) Required
Must meet availability requirements (4 weeks/month, 4 days/week)
Ability to commit to at least 6 months
