Facility in Denver, CO seeking OBGYN locums coverage Rates: $5200/24 hours Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: Various hospital days; 4 shifts per month (24-hour in-house call).
- Clinical Setting: Hospital-based coverage for deliveries and urgent/emergent needs.
- Support: Level II Nursery on-site; transfers to Level III/IV NICU (Anschutz) via established protocol.
- Volume: 4 5 patients/day; 3 4 deliveries/week; 1 4 emergent GYN surgeries/week.
- EMR: Epic (Inpatient and Outpatient).
Clinical Scope & Procedures Providers must be proficient in the full spectrum of obstetric and gynecological emergencies. The caseload typically consists of 70% low-risk and 30% high-risk pregnancies, with a 21% C-section rate. Obstetrics & Labor/Delivery:
- Management of toxemia, diabetes, and cardiac/renal comorbidities.
- Fetal Heart Rate (FHR) interpretation (NST/CST/FSE).
- Routine and complicated deliveries (C-sections, breech, multiple births, abruptions).
- Operative vaginal deliveries (low forceps) and VBACs.
- Repair of 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations.
Gynecology (Emergent/Surgical):
- Diagnostic and minor laparoscopic procedures (tubal ligation, LOA).
- Major operative gynecology (ectopic pregnancy, cystectomy, ovary removal).
Provider Requirements
- Board Status: Board Certified in OB/GYN (Required).
- Licensure: Active Colorado (CO) license or IMLC LOQ (Required).
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Required).
- Documentation: Self-Query NPDB pulled within the current month (Required).
- Experience: Must be able to perform all required procedures at the time of name clear.
