Title: Junior Partner Land Use, Zoning & Real Estate Development ️


Practice Area: Municipal Entitlements / Environmental Compliance / Real Estate Development

Location: Greenwich, CT / New Canaan, CT (Flexible Hybrid Arrangements)

Salary: $235,000 to $360,000 Base Salary (Plus competitive origination incentives, milestone bonuses, and comprehensive firm-wide benefits)

Schedule: Full-time, Direct-Hire, Minimum 1,850 hours annual billed

This is an ideal destination for a Land Use specialist looking to integrate their practice into a Top-Tier Real Estate and Construction group.


Duties:


The Junior Partner will navigate the complex intersection of public policy and private development, representing developers and property owners in transformative regional projects. Directing the entitlement process for residential, commercial, and industrial developments, including securing variances, special permits, and site plan approvals. Appearing before municipal boards, planning and zoning commissions, and inland wetlands agencies as lead counsel. Navigating complex environmental regulations and state-level compliance requirements (DEEP) for large-scale construction projects.


Drafting and negotiating development agreements, easements, and restrictive covenants essential to project feasibility.

Leveraging an existing $500k+ portfolio to contribute to the firm's overarching growth in the Connecticut real estate sector.

Qualifications Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited Law School.

Active Bar License in the state of Connecticut. Minimum of 8 years of substantive experience in land use, zoning, and administrative law. A portable book of business totaling at least $500,000 in annual originations.

Proven track record of navigating the Connecticut municipal landscape and securing project approvals.

Skills: Deep familiarity with the Connecticut General Statutes regarding planning and zoning.

Established relationships with local municipal counsel and regulatory stakeholders.

Expertise in litigating administrative appeals and land use disputes in Superior Court.

Strong entrepreneurial drive with an interest in cross-selling to the firm's Construction and Corporate departments.
