Rheumatology Physician

We are seeking a Board Certified, Fellowship-Trained Rheumatologist to provide adult and geriatric care in a supportive outpatient and hospital-based setting. This locum opportunity includes clinic coverage and 24-hour hospital call, ideal for providers looking for hands-on procedural experience in joint aspirations and injections.

• Outpatient clinic with hospital-based call

• Support staff: MA, RN, front desk

• EMR: Epic

• Level II Trauma Center

• Clinic: 4 10-hour shifts or 5 8-hour shifts

• Hospital Call: 24-hour coverage, 2 weeks per month (1:2 ratio)

• Coverage Duration: ASAP Ongoing

• Average patient load:

  • Clinic: patients/day

  • Hospital: 1 patient/day

• Joint aspirations

• Corticosteroid injections

• Clinic and hospital-based rheumatology care

• Board Certified in Rheumatology

• Fellowship-trained in Rheumatology

• Active Michigan medical license

• BLS certification

• Ability to perform clinic and hospital-based rheumatology procedures

• Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred

• NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) required at presentation

• Local providers preferred, but flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage reimbursement available

• Hands-on experience in adult and geriatric rheumatology

• Supported by experienced MA, RN, and front desk staff
