We are seeking a Board Certified, Fellowship-Trained Rheumatologist to provide adult and geriatric care in a supportive outpatient and hospital-based setting. This locum opportunity includes clinic coverage and 24-hour hospital call, ideal for providers looking for hands-on procedural experience in joint aspirations and injections.
Practice Setting & SupportOutpatient clinic with hospital-based call
Support staff: MA, RN, front desk
EMR: Epic
Level II Trauma Center
Clinic: 4 10-hour shifts or 5 8-hour shifts
Hospital Call: 24-hour coverage, 2 weeks per month (1:2 ratio)
Coverage Duration: ASAP Ongoing
Average patient load:
Clinic: patients/day
Hospital: 1 patient/day
Joint aspirations
Corticosteroid injections
Clinic and hospital-based rheumatology care
Board Certified in Rheumatology
Fellowship-trained in Rheumatology
Active Michigan medical license
BLS certification
Ability to perform clinic and hospital-based rheumatology procedures
Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) required at presentation
Local providers preferred, but flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage reimbursement available
Hands-on experience in adult and geriatric rheumatology
Supported by experienced MA, RN, and front desk staff
