Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician

Coverage Needed:

• June 10, 2026 - June 15, 2026
• Night Call 5p-8a and 24 Hour Call 8a-8a
• 5p Friday - 8a Monday

Clinical Details:

• EMR/Charting: Cerner
• Types of Calls: Telephone; 30-minute response required.
• Support Staff: APPs available for office, non-urgent calls, and OR support.
• On Call, with average admissions of 1 while on call.
• Typical Cases: Emergency cases, ECMO, Tamponade.
• Procedures: Aortic Valve Replacements, CABG, TAVR, Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Heart Valve Surgery, MitraClip, PFO Closure.
• Operating Rooms: 2 rooms dedicated to cardiac surgery per day.
• Call can be taken offsite from hotel.
• APPs take first call for all but ICU, ED, and transfers.

Requirements:

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiac Surgery
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• DEA
• ACLS, BLS, CPR
• State Licensure: Pennsylvania (candidates needing to obtain a license are accepted)
