Job Details
The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting for a growing manufacturing business. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys hands-on work across multiple accounting functions including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, and backup support for AP/AR.
This is an opportunity with strong training and transition support available.

Job Details
The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting for a growing manufacturing business. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys hands-on work across multiple accounting functions including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, and backup support for AP/AR.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and monthly close activities
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, balance sheets, bank accounts, and payroll activity
- Assist with preparation of financial statements, cash flow reports, and management reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projects
- Maintain billing functions including invoices and credit memos
- Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Assist with payroll processing and tax-related filings
- Support internal and external audits and ensure GAAP compliance
- Track financial and operational metrics to improve business efficiency
- Identify and implement process improvements, workflows, and accounting best practices
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues as needed
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and support special projects
Qualifications:
- 1-5+ years of hands-on accounting experience preferred
- Experience with month-end close required
- Journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting experience required
- Experience in corporate accounting environments strongly preferred
- Manufacturing industry experience is a plus, but not required
- ERP experience preferred (SAP experience highly desirable)
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency required
- Understanding of GAAP and accounting controls
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, but not required
