Job Description

New World Transportation Systems is seeking a skilled and reliable CDL Class A Owner Operator to join our team. As a crucial member, this position will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting household goods and possessions between destinations.Compensation
  • Average Annual Pay: $220,000 to $310,000
    • Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 (covers the first month insurance and deposits)
    • Average weekly miles: 2,500-3,500 with light loads (under 25k cargo)
    • Settlements paid via direct deposit weekly (every Friday)Highlights

          • Level of Touch: Drop and Hook Equipment Requirements
            • Must have your own truck; No deleted trucks and must be ELD compatible (1998 or newer) Key Responsibilities
              • Operate and maintain a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all state and federal regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
              • Operates the company vehicle by maintaining the safety of the motoring public, self, and company equipment.
              • Plan and execute routes efficiently to ensure timely delivery while adhering to traffic laws and safety guidelines.
              • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and its equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
              • Maintain accurate records of mileage, hours of service, and other required documentation, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
              • Collaborate with dispatch and other team members to optimize route planning and enhance overall operational efficiency.
              • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to goods or equipment.
              • Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and trailer, promoting a professional image both internally and to the public.
              • Perform any and all duties as assigned. Qualifications
                • Must be at least 22 years of age
                • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
                • Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience with a verifiable safety record.
                • Familiarity with state and federal regulations governing the transportation industry.
                • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
                • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
                • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
                • Flexibility to work varied hours and extended shifts when necessary.
                • Basic computer skills for electronic logs and communication.
                • Ability to sit for extended periods and withstand long hours of driving.
                • Ability to pass a DOT physical and possess a valid DOT medical card.
                • Partnering with drivers Nationwide (No CA based drivers)
