Job Description

Senior Accountant

We are seeking a high-performing Senior Accountant to drive financial accuracy, strengthen balance sheet integrity, and lead fixed asset accounting within a manufacturing environment.

This is a hands-on, ownership-driven role -not a maintenance position. We're looking for someone who challenges inconsistencies, digs into the details, and ensures financial data is fully supportable, audit-ready, and aligned with strong internal controls.

What You'll Own Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
  • Lead month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and fully supported financial results
  • Analyze performance and provide clear, actionable variance explanations
  • Identify issues early and drive resolution
Balance Sheet Integrity
  • Prepare and review reconciliations (cash, prepaids, accruals, intercompany)
  • Ensure all balances are fully supported and audit-ready
  • Investigate discrepancies and resolve efficiently
  • Maintain organized, defensible documentation
Fixed Assets & Capital Controls
  • Manage the full fixed asset lifecycle , including CIP (Construction in Progress)
  • Enforce capitalization policies and ensure compliance
  • Reconcile subledger to general ledger and record depreciation
  • Partner with operations to validate assets and capital spend
  • Monitor CIP aging, approvals, and documentation
  • Identify misclassified, idle, or impaired assets
AP / AR Support
  • Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Assist with invoicing, payments, and cash application
  • Ensure continuity during peak periods or absences
  • Identify and implement process improvements
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Manufacturing experience (preferred)
  • Strong fixed asset accounting experience (highly preferred)
  • SAP or ERP system experience (preferred)
Core Strengths
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve problems quickly
  • Willingness to challenge processes and drive improvement
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Deep understanding of financial controls and audit readiness
  • Clear, professional communication skills
Why This Role Stands Out
  • High visibility - directly impacts financial accuracy and decision-making
  • Ownership - you control key areas of the balance sheet and capital tracking
  • Operational exposure - partner with plant leadership on real assets and investments
  • Growth opportunity - build toward Controller-level responsibilities
What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation
  • Comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision)
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off
  • Stable, growth-oriented environment
