Tool Room Machinist
Summary:
Seeking a skilled Tool Room Machinist to produce high-quality parts for prototyping, tooling, and fixtures. This role works closely with engineering to bring concepts to life using CNC and manual machining equipment.
Pay Rate: $26-29/hour DOE
Schedule: Mon-Thu, 5:00am-3:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and program Haas CNC mills
- Program using Mastercam
- Hand edit M and G code at the machine
- Read blueprints and use measuring tools to verify accuracy
- Program Wire EDM and sinker
- Program Swiss mills using Mastercam
- Perform die timing and sharpening
- Troubleshoot machining or assembly issues
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain cleanliness
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret sketches, specifications, blueprints, and job orders
- Knowledge of tool steels and heat treating qualities
- Skilled in using precision measuring devices
- Self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize
Education/Experience:
- Associate or technical degree, or equivalent experience
- 5 years of machinist experience
- Mastercam drawing and programming
- Understanding of tool and die process
