Youll work alongside a dynamic, multidisciplinary team while managing a diverse outpatient caseload, including orthopedic, neurological, and general medicine patients.

Overview

Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.

Alton Memorial Hospital's Rehabilitation Services is called, 'The Human Motion Institute'. The Human Motion Institute's rehabilitation team includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapist Assistants and Occupational Therapists Assistants.


Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Provides skilled treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician and directed by a licensed physical therapist as specified in their health care service setting.

Responsibilities

Implements treatment plan as developed by the licensed physical therapist.Collaborates with the licensed physical therapist on an agreed upon frequency to assess and reassess patients plan of care, treatment goals and interventions.Documents patient progress in daily notes and weekly notes (as applicable), as well as contributes recommendations to patients discharge note from physical therapy.Assists with guidance for clinical fieldwork students under the supervision of the physical therapist.Reports on interventions and patient progress during assigned meetings and contributes to the screening and evaluation process.
