- Weekly Coverage Needed:
- Friday: 5:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM 7:00 AM (24 hours)
- Sunday: 7:00 AM 7:00 AM (24 hours)
- Setting: Hospital-based, covering both inpatient and outpatient surgeries
- Credentialing Timeframe: Within 60 days
Job Details / Responsibilities
- Provide independent anesthesia coverage for a wide range of surgical specialties
- Manage anesthesia for:
- Orthopedics
- Labor & Delivery
- Spine surgery
- GI procedures
- Gynecology
- Urology
- Cath Lab
- Interventional Radiology
- Bariatric bypass
- Minimal vascular cases
- Support approximately 3,600 IP/OP surgeries annually
- Work with anesthesia providers, CRNAs, and anesthesia techs
- Use EPIC EMR for patient documentation and workflow
- Provide pager call coverage with callback responsibilities as needed
- Coverage required due to staffing shortage
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Board Certified in Anesthesiology required
- Residency/Fellowship training required
- Nebraska license highly preferred; IMLC or willingness to obtain NE license accepted
- BLS certification required
- DEA certification required
- Clean malpractice history highly preferred
- Availability at time of name clear required
- Self-Query NPDB report within 30 days of presentation required
- Must be comfortable independently handling a broad range of surgical anesthesia cases across multiple specialties
