A reputable healthcare facility in Frederick, Maryland, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join its Neurology team.
Position Overview:
The role involves providing comprehensive neurological care through a mix of outpatient clinic visits, hospital consultations, and limited night call coverage. The ideal candidate will have prior neurology experience or be a recent graduate from a top-tier Physician Assistant program with a strong interest in neurology.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct neurological assessments and manage ongoing treatment plans under physician supervision.
Assist in diagnosing and treating a variety of neurological disorders.
Perform hospital consultations and follow-up evaluations as needed.
Collaborate closely with neurologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Document all patient encounters accurately and maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Active Maryland PA license (or eligibility to obtain).
Neurology experience strongly preferred ; new graduates from top PA programs are encouraged to apply.
Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
