CRNA Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (Locum Tenens)
Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for locum tenens coverage in a hospital-based anesthesia department. This role supports staffing coverage for a vacancy with multiple assignment blocks available across spring and summer schedules.
Schedule & Coverage:
8-hour day shifts, Monday Friday (typically 6:00 AM 2:30 PM)
10-hour shift options may be considered based on provider preference and discussion during interview
Must be available to work Fridays
No call requirement at this time (subject to change with advance notice)
Multiple short-term and extended coverage blocks available, including continuous coverage through summer months
Clinical Setting
Medically directed anesthesia model under anesthesiologist supervision
Approximately 8 operating rooms in service
Electronic medical record system used; paper charting may also be utilized depending on workflow
Case Mix
General surgery
Orthopedics
OB/GYN (CRNAs do not perform epidurals)
ENT
Vascular
Healthy pediatrics
Rare GI cases (may include independent assignments if needed)
Requirements:
Active CRNA certification (NBCRNA board certification required)
Current APRN license (state or compact eligible; must apply upon offer acceptance if not already active)
Current certifications required:
ACLS
BLS
PALS
Must have recent clinical experience within the last 12 months
Case logs preferred but not mandatory
