We are seeking a skilled and dedicated plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and have experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as the ability to work with various hand tools. The plumber will be responsible for ensuring that all plumbing systems are functioning efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and commercial properties.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
- Perform pipe threading, welding, and other necessary techniques for plumbing installations.
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations during installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople as needed to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a plumber or in a similar role within the construction or maintenance industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively.
- Familiarity with pipe threading techniques and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- A maintenance person mindset with problem-solving skills to address various plumbing challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Relevant certifications or licenses are preferred but not mandatory.
