Job Title: Special Education (SPED) Teacher - Autism Classroom (Long-Term Substitute)

Duration: 20 Weeks
Schedule: 10:50 AM - 3:40 PM
Pay Rate: $40 - $49 per hour
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education (SPED) Teacher for a long-term substitute assignment supporting an Autism classroom. This role focuses on providing individualized instruction and behavioral support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other special needs in a structured and inclusive learning environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students' IEP goals.
Adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Collaborate with the IEP team to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Track and document student progress, academic performance, and behavioral data.
Implement evidence-based behavioral and instructional interventions.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and related service providers.
Prior experience working with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Strong knowledge of special education instructional strategies and IEP development.
Ability to manage classroom behaviors using positive reinforcement techniques.
Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Valid Special Education (SPED) teaching license (state-appropriate certification required).
