ABR is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Machinist to join a dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain a variety of machine tools, including CNC lathes and milling machines, to produce high-precision components.
Hours are Monday - Thursday, 4pm-2am
Pay: $30.00 - $39.00 per hour
The ideal candidate has strong experience with blueprint reading, GD&T, and CNC programming, along with a solid mechanical background. This is an excellent opportunity to work with advanced equipment while contributing to efficient, high-quality production processes in a safety-focused environment.
Machinist Key Responsibilities: - Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes and milling machines (Fanuc controls or similar) to produce parts to specification
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T symbols to ensure accuracy
- Program CNC machines and make necessary adjustments for optimal performance
- Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators) to verify part quality and tolerances
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures
- Perform inspections to ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards
- Collaborate with assembly teams on fitting and finishing components
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Machinist Qualifications & Requirements: - Proven experience operating CNC lathes and/or milling machines (Fanuc or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and mechanical drawings
- CNC programming experience required
- Proficiency with precision measurement instruments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
- Basic math skills for measurements, tolerances, and machine adjustments
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, tooling management, and forklift operation
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively in English for safety and teamwork
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Machinist Preferred Qualifications: - 4+ years of machining experience
