Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Lab Analyst to support our laboratory operations through cleaning, organization, and preparation of laboratory glassware and materials. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient analytical environment. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to grow into Sample Preparation responsibilities, supporting more advanced analytical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Clean, wash, and sterilize laboratory glassware, containers, and equipment following established SOPs.
• Inspect glassware for cleanliness, damage, and suitability for use.
• Maintain organized glassware storage areas and ensure proper labeling and inventory.
• Support general lab housekeeping to uphold safety and quality standards.
• Follow all laboratory safety protocols, including chemical handling and PPE requirements.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and tracking samples as needed.
• Prepare materials and workspaces for sample preparation activities.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• With training, transition into Sample Preparation tasks.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in chemistry, biology, or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
• Comfortable handling chemicals and laboratory equipment (training provided).
• Strong organizational skills and commitment to cleanliness.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and grow into more technical responsibilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in a laboratory, production, or cleaning/sterilization environment.
• Familiarity with basic lab safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

This is an on-site role at the Syracuse, NY laboratory. The position involves exposure to chemicals, lab equipment, and controlled environments. It requires standing, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Liverpool, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
