Construction Superintendent - Commercial Tilt Wall & Ground-Up Projects

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site execution for commercial tilt-wall and ground-up construction projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for day-to-day management of field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining high quality standards and strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities for commercial, tilt-wall, and ground-up projects from mobilization through closeout.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules; coordinate sequencing to meet milestones and critical path requirements.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and onsite workforce to ensure productivity, quality, and timely completion of work.
- Enforce company and regulatory safety standards, lead daily safety meetings, and ensure OSHA and site-specific compliance.
- Conduct quality control inspections, verify work against drawings and specifications, and resolve construction issues proactively.
- Coordinate logistics for tilt-wall panels, crane operations, concrete pours, and site deliveries to optimize efficiency and safety.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, progress logs, RFIs, submittals, change order documentation, and as-built records.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Estimators, Engineers, and Owners to manage expectations, scope changes, and project communications.
- Monitor project costs, track labor and materials, and identify opportunities to mitigate budget variances.
- Support commissioning, punch list resolution, and project closeout activities, ensuring timely turnover and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial projects, including tilt-wall and ground-up construction.
- Proven experience managing tilt-wall erection, concrete pours, formwork, joint coordination, and crane logistics.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, reading plans and specifications, building codes, and quality control processes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple subcontractors and large onsite crews effectively.
- Proficient with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project) and Microsoft Office suite.
- OSHA 30 certification required; CPR/First Aid and other safety certifications preferred.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a results-oriented mindset.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Associate degree or certificate in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent field experience.
