Step into a Level IV NICU known for its fast-paced environment and exposure to the entire spectrum of neonatal care, from micro-preemies at 23 weeks to term infants with complex surgical needs. Working in this academic medical center allows you to expand your clinical portfolio while connecting with experts and embracing best practices in neonatal medicine.

As a traveling NICU RN, you'll gain experience with advanced technologies, diverse patient populations, and multiple leadership styles-strengthening your adaptability and enhancing your resume. Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour shifts, 7a-7p
  • Weekend rotation: every other weekend
  • No on-call requirements
  • 75% holiday coverage expected
  • Scheduling in 6-week cycles

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience
  • BLS and NRP certifications
  • Proficient in basic ventilator management, central line management, pre/post-surgical care, tracheostomy, and G-tube management
  • Skilled in gavage, blood transfusion, venous sticks, breastfeeding, and bottle feeding

Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, effective care for premature and critically ill infants
  • Oversee pre- and post-surgical management
  • Manage ventilators, feeding tubes, and tracheostomies
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including charge RNs and nursing assistants
  • Float as needed to General Pediatrics, PICU, Adolescent Pediatrics, and Pediatric Hem/Onc
