Travel PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) Prescott, Arizona

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This travel nursing opportunity will have you floating between Progressive Care (PCU), Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical units across two dynamic hospital campuses. Here, you'll broaden your clinical knowledge as you encounter a wide range of patient cases-geriatric, orthopedic, cardiac post-procedure, post-MI, and complex stepdown management. This position allows for valuable exposure to varying nurse-patient ratios, organizational workflows, and distinct leadership styles. Expand your résumé as you adapt to new environments, master diverse patient care technologies, and work closely with interdisciplinary teams.

Schedule/Hours

• Shifts are 7-7, both AM and PM
• Every other weekend and holiday participation
• Schedules published six weeks out; flexibility required
• Block scheduling possible for night shift

Desired Qualifications:

• Current state RN license
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience and 1 year in PCU
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with cardiac drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin)
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to assignment
• Comfortable floating to multiple units and adapting quickly
• Not employed (full time/part time/PRN) by certain affiliated healthcare organizations within the past year

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive, compassionate care to varied patient populations
• Manage titration of complex drips and monitor cardiac rhythms
• Float between MedSurg Tele, PCU, and ED holding units
• Collaborate with nurse aides, monitor techs, and interdisciplinary staff
• Flexibly respond to assignments provided prior to each shift
