What You Will Enjoy Doing

Main Responsibilities:

  • HR Administration
    • Assist with auditing employee files to ensure all required documentation is complete and compliant
    • Update and maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems
    • Support onboarding logistics (badges, system access requests, orientation materials)
    • Assist with offboarding processes, including documentation collection and exit checklists
    • Assist with preparing HR documents, letters, and forms
    • Respond to basic employee inquiries and direct them to appropriate HR contacts
    • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and document workflow
  • Communications and CSR
    • Support with campaign efforts for total rewards, CSR etc.
    • Assist with data collection for volunteerism
    • Manage google & indeed responses for ALPLA NOAM
    • Support CSR committees with STEM Grants & community engagement projects
    • Content creation for internal SharePoint
  • Total Rewards
    • Assist in conducting market analysis for jobs as requested
    • Participate in benefit reporting analysis and vendor meeting
    • Participate in Open Enrollment preparation
    • Shadow in developing Salary Banding project and hourly compensation strategy
  • Recruiting
    • Understand the full-cycle recruiting process from requisition intake to offer acceptance
    • Learn how to review job descriptions and identify key qualifications
    • Learn how to navigate and use the company's ATS (e.g., posting jobs, reviewing applicants, moving candidates through stages)
    • Assist in sourcing candidates using job boards, LinkedIn, and school partnerships
    • Conduct resume reviews to identify qualified candidates
    • Participate in or observe initial phone screens
    • Support job fairs, school outreach, and L&D Hub
  • Compliance
    • Learn and apply key employment laws and company policies (attendance, conduct, discipline) in real workplace scenarios
    • Assist in auditing employee files (I-9s, policy acknowledgments) and support HR audit readiness efforts
    • Track and report completion of required trainings (safety, compliance)

What Makes You Great

Education:

  • Minimum 2-year Degree (Associates) in related field or equivalent, required
  • 4-year Degree (Bachelor), preferred

Experience:

  • 0-1 years of experience, preferred

Skills:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work well in team environment
  • Able to handle multi-task environment with good organization skills
  • Intermediate or proficient experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power point)
