Location: Morrisville/Stowe, VT
Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time
Compensation: $130 $135/hour (based on experience)

Overview

We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team and provide high-quality anesthesia care across a wide range of surgical and clinical settings. This role involves independent practice within the full scope of anesthesia services, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal surgical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia for various procedures, including obstetric, orthopedic, pediatric, trauma, general, and outpatient surgeries
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments, including patient history, physical exams, and review of laboratory data
  • Develop and implement appropriate anesthesia care plans
  • Perform airway management, including endotracheal intubation and ventilatory support
  • Administer spinal, epidural, and regional nerve blocks (including ultrasound-guided techniques)
  • Monitor patients vital signs and physiological responses before, during, and after anesthesia
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and anesthesia documentation
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations and adverse reactions
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage anesthesia equipment, supplies, and inventory
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and organizational policies and standards
Education
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesiology program
  • Certifications & Licensure
  • Current CRNA certification (NBCRNA)
  • Active Vermont RN/APRN license in good standing
  • DEA registration
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (preferred)
  • Experience
  • 1 5 years of independent anesthesia practice preferred
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Experience with regional anesthesia and ultrasound-guided blocks preferred
