POSITION SUMMARY:

We are a leading Plastic Surgery practice in Beverly Hills looking to fill one full-time (Tues-Fri with occasional Mon) Medical Assistant position as our current team member leaves to pursue their dream in medical school! The role to be filled is primarily medical assistance based with partial reception/front desk responsibilities. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating an exceptional experience for our patients, someone who is highly motivated, has excellent communication skills and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Our ideal candidate has previous relevant work experience.


DUTIES:

Include handling administrative tasks, such as maintaining a manageable patient schedule and answering phones, in addition to clinical duties working directly with patients, assisting providers in procedures (both surgical and nonsurgical) and maintaining office flow as far as patient check-in, room turnover, etc.

Front Office Responsibilities: Assist the front office in responding to patient questions and new patient inquiries by telephone and email, confirming and scheduling appointments, answering the phones and greeting patients, logging notes, creating and scanning charts, and administrative tasks among other things. Duties Include:

  • Patient intake
  • Assistance with charting, patient photography and medical record keeping
  • Answering phones, following up with patients via phone
  • Manage patient flow
  • Patient Education

Assisting the Doctor & NP: As a chaperone during office procedures and follow ups, you might room the patient, take photos, answer questions and prepare the patient to see the provider. Back Office Duties May Include:

  • Provide assistance to providers during patient procedures and appointments such as room setup, gathering necessary/requested supplies for the appointment, prepping patients for procedures (cleaning, numbing, etc.)
  • Assisting the doctor during in-office local procedures
  • Room turnover/sterilization/stocking between appointments

Assistance in surgery coordination: Working hand-in-hand with the current surgical coordinator, NP and Dr. Duties may include:

  • Assisting surgical patients in coordinating their medical appointments in accordance with the pre-surgical guidelines
  • Collecting medical records to meet pre-surgical requirements, following up with doctor's offices & medical labs
  • Ensuring patients are medically prepped for surgery

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • MAINTAIN OFFICE FLOW
  • Administrative/front desk duties
  • Patient intake & room turnover
  • Assist in preparing patients for surgery and other procedures
  • Assisting providers during exams, procedures or follow-ups
  • Explaining Medical Procedures to Patients
  • Sterilizing office supplies/equipment
  • Following all Safety Precautions

Education/Experience:

High School Graduate (required). College education and 2 or more related years of experience in clinical environment preferred.

License/Certifications:

MA certification is not required, but preferred.
