The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating projects up to $10 million, from bid to proposal. This role requires a deep understanding of the Baltimore and Washington DC area, as well as proficiency in Quote Soft estimating software. Your key responsibilities will include: 1. Developing accurate and comprehensive estimates for HVAC and pipe fitting projects. 2. Utilizing Quote Soft Estimating Software to prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals. 3. Conducting thorough 'take-offs' to understand the scope and requirements of each project. 4. Preparing bid to proposal documentation, ensuring all financial and technical aspects are accurately represented. 5. Collaborating with the project management team to ensure all project specifications and timelines are understood and met. 6. Continually monitoring industry trends and developments to keep our estimating practices current and competitive. Qualifications: Successful candidates for the Mechanical Construction Estimator role will possess the following qualifications: 1. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the Engineering industry. 2. Proven conceptual estimating experience, with a track record of delivering successful estimates for mechanical projects up to 10 million. 3. Proficiency in using Quote Soft Estimating Software or equivalent. 4. Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with HVAC installation, pipe fitting, and HVAC systems. 5. Strong ability to perform 'take-offs' and interpret project plans and specifications. 6. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail. 7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 8. A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
