Job Role : Manager - Laboratory Supply Chain
Location : Remote with Travel
Role: Supply Chain Manager
Role Description:-
The lab specialist. Handles reagent/analyzer contracts, reference lab agreements, blood bank, POCT, specimen collection. Highly specialized - this is NOT a general clinical supply chain role.
What They Actually Do Day-to-Day
• Analyze reagent/analyzer contracts for renegotiation leverage and conversion opportunities
• Evaluate analyzer platform consolidation across 6 CHSLI hospitals
• Review reference laboratory contracts (send-out testing, esoteric testing, genetics)
• Assess blood bank utilization, product wastage, crossmatch ratios
• Conduct POCT program reviews for consolidation and vendor standardization
• Work with Lab Directors, Pathologists, Medical Directors, and Technical Supervisors

• Chemistry/Immunoassay analyzers and reagents
• Hematology/Coagulation (analyzers, reagent rental)
• Microbiology (culture media, molecular diagnostics)
• Blood Bank (blood products, reagent red cells, gel cards, donor testing)
• Molecular/Genomics (PCR, extraction, sequencing)
• Anatomic Pathology (tissue processing, staining, IHC antibodies)
• Specimen Collection (tubes, needles, swabs)
• POCT (glucose, blood gas, rapid testing, connectivity)
• Reference Lab Services (send-out contracts)
Required Skills
• 5+ years in clinical lab operations, lab supply chain, or lab management
• 3+ years managing lab supply contracts (reagent/analyzer, reference lab, or blood bank)
• Understands the reagent/analyzer interdependency model
• Familiar with CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission as they relate to supply decisions
• Can speak the language of pathologists and lab directors
