This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take charge of our procurement processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic purchasing of goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficient operation of our supply chain. The role will also involve the management of inventory levels and the coordination of various departments to ensure the smooth running of our production cycle. Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the efficient and cost-effective purchasing of goods and services. Manage supplier relationships, negotiating contracts to ensure the best value for the company. Oversee the entire procurement process, from the creation of purchase orders (PO#) through to the receipt of goods and services. Coordinate with various departments to ensure the smooth running of the production cycle. Manage inventory levels, ensuring that stock is maintained at optimal levels to meet production requirements. Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to manage procurement and inventory processes. Identify potential new suppliers and vendors, conducting due diligence to assess their suitability. Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise with suppliers or vendors. Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities and performance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a procurement role within the manufacturing industry. Proven experience with ERP systems. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control. Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven track record of securing favorable terms and prices. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions based on data. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors. Detail-oriented, with a keen eye for accuracy and consistency.
