Job Summary:
The Production Assembler Technician / Fabricator is responsible for operating a variety of manufacturing equipment to produce precision-critical parts. This role involves performing production, fabrication, modification, and assembly tasks that range from basic to highly complex, supporting both prototype and production builds with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating Machinery and Equipment:
Operate and maintain various machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing process, including assembly machines, conveyor systems, packaging equipment, and specialized tools.
Serve as a trainee for larger machinery such as CNC lathes and mills, manual mills, slitters, and similar equipment.
Assembly , Packing and Production Tasks:
Perform assembly operations by following standardized work instructions. Tasks may include attaching components, fastening parts, soldering, or welding. Packing, wrapping and palleting parts and materials
Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to established safety guidelines.
Quality Control and Inspection:
Conduct quality control checks at various stages of production.
Inspect finished products or components using appropriate measuring tools and visual inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Material Handling:
Safely handle and transport raw materials and finished products within the facility.
Assist with loading, unloading, organizing inventory, and ensuring efficient material flow on the production floor.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors and comply with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced, machine maintenance logs, and quality control results.
Document issues and contribute to process improvements.
Teamwork and Communication:
Collaborate effectively with supervisors, technicians, and fellow team members.
Communicate production-related concerns and suggestions to help ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution (required).
One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment (highly desired).
Ability to continuously lift up to 25 lbs with or without assistance.
Capability to stand, bend, stoop, lift, reach, and twist repetitively throughout the workday.
Ability to read blueprints (highly desired).
