The Parts Counter Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of automotive parts to customers and service departments across various locations within the United States. This position requires a dependable individual who can manage the logistics of parts distribution while maintaining excellent customer service standards. The role involves coordinating with parts counter staff to accurately pick, package, and deliver parts, ensuring that all deliveries are completed safely and on schedule. The Parts Counter Driver acts as a vital link between the parts department and customers, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Ultimately, this position supports the overall success of the parts department by facilitating smooth and reliable parts delivery services.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in driving and delivering goods, preferably in an automotive or parts distribution environment.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy parts safely, typically up to 50 pounds.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and terminology is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using GPS and route planning software to optimize delivery efficiency.
• Customer service experience, demonstrating effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices related to commercial driving.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with parts counter personnel to verify orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness before delivery.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns.
• Manage delivery schedules efficiently to meet deadlines and optimize route planning.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Assist with loading and unloading parts as needed, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Select and Pick Parts for customers.
